The ASPR is very proactive in giving back to riders with our Grand Champion Dressage Pony and Small Dressage Horse Awards.  The National Assessment Tour features overall National High Score Awards taken from all of the participating groups as well as our own ASPR National High Score Awards.

ASPR Membership Benefits : 

​

  • Register ponies for Premium Grading on the Annual ASPR Assessment Tour - As part of the Tour, foals inspected and assessed are eligible for the National High Score Foal Award. Ponies aged 3 years and over who complete all 4 phases of the assessment are eligible for the National High Score Premium Pony Award.

  • Register Non-Assessed ponies - Non-assessed ponies may be registered from birth.

  • Equine Identification Document and Online ASPR Stud Book - All assessed and non-assessed ponies and horses registered with the ASPR receive a comprehensive Equine Identification Document which includes  detailed information on pedigree, markings, vaccinations, competition results and much more. The Equine Identification Document adheres to European standards. Your pony/horse will also be entered into the online stud book, a valuable tool for researching pedigrees and assessment scores.

  • Register horses in the Small Horse and Over Height Registers - Assessed and non-assessed horses exceeding 148 cms can be registered in these Registers and receive the same benefits as pony owners.

  • Discounted entry fees for all ASPR hosted competitions and training days

  • Free entry into the very popular Annual High Point and Roll of Merit Awards (with registration of pony)

  • Free advertising for your stud and ponies for sale in the quarterly ASPR ‘Sports Pony’ Newsletter and on the ASPR web site. ‘Sports Pony’ is now a fully interactive 'e-magazine' with live links to advertisers web site. Advertising on the ASPR web site also includes live link.

  • Prestigious National titles such as the new Breeding Crowns for Stallions and Mares, recognising them for their breeding value and the new Stallion/Mare Test (AU) which goes a step further from an initial assessment and rewards stallions and mares for demonstrating both trainability and rideability.
